GARMENT CARE

Silk
We recommend cold hand washing or if machine washing using a specific gentle cycle. Always use a delicate detergent specifically designed for wools, silks and other fine natural fibres.

Silk is protein-based (made from the cocoon of a silk worm), regularly washing it with an ordinary enzyme detergent will break down its fibres and damage the integrity of the fabric.

Protect your silk items when machine washing by using a delicates wash bag.

Do not tumble dry. Silk is a delicate, natural fabric which will be irreparably damaged if placed in a dryer. For best results, line dry your silks in the shade, as exposure to the sun can fade and damage the fabric. Use a warm iron. Dry clean if desired.

Silk will naturally wrinkle, however by wearing it the oils from your body will help soften it up after a wash.
